Michael Berube explains it for Sean Hannity: “As you know, Sean, in America, students are assigned to their universities by the Federal Education and Re-education Committee… Once they get into my course (required for graduation), Advanced America-Blaming and Applied Appeasement of Terrorists, they are graded primarily on attendance and recitation. They are also required to turn in two essays, one in which they blame America first, the other in which they propose a strategy for appeasing a terrorist enemy.”

Charles’s Second Law states that the phrase “Christ, what an asshole” is the answer to nearly every New Yorker Magazine Caption Contest. And at least as funny, I’d add.

Finally found a tagging plugin I can use. It’s modestly named the Ultimate Tag Warrior, and K2 has built in support for it so that I didn’t even have to do anything other than plug it in and turn it on. Best feature: entering comma separated values on the “write” page—my fingers just won’t do the dash or underscore thing. Check out the tag cloud near the bottom of the Archives page to see what we’ve been chatting about lately. I’ve gone through most of two months of old posts so far, and it’s usefulness will only improve over time.

Hah! I’m not really telling. I’m asking.

It’s meme time here at Making Chutney, and I need your help. Whether you’ve known me for years or just read this blog now and again, I’d love it if you could take a couple of seconds to point-and-clickedly tell me who I am.

It’s a Johari Window, which forces you to choose five or six descriptors from a list of a few dozen. Then you have other folks do it about you, and then plan compare and contrast.

Sounds pretty cool. I can’t wait to see the results! (And, if you dare, help me out with my Nohari Window too—it’s the negative version.)

Just added a nifty little page (accessible via the top most menu as “Elsewhere“) that lists other sites who are linking to Making Chutney. I also renamed the “Asides” posts in the sidebar to “Side Dishes,” because it made me feel clever.
