"Whether we call it as much or not, we still operate in a world of blessings and curses. We still bestow, with public words, health and prosperity, death and suffering. We no longer believe in the metaphysics, perhaps."

Thanks to Oprah, the belief in the metaphysics of blessings might be on the rise, thanks to her recent shows on "The Secret". I think that Larry King has done a show about it, too.

It is interesting that you mentioned metaphysics of blessings in your blog yesterday, as that is the day I finished reading the book version of "The Secret", which ends with talk about giving blessings. I am very interested in metaphysics and since I don't like being in the dark about the latest pop-culture phenomenons, I had to look into "The Secret" myself. I haven't finished digesting it and don't have a definitive opinion of it yet, but I might write about it in my blog soon. I plan to watch the DVD version as well.
