That’s why I was confused about the other people involved and voted for Forrest Church.

Now I get it, though I would have to ask how much the individual’s UUism has to do with their being influential (or their worldview in general). Does Bush identify as a Methodist or as an evangelical Christian? I could identify first as a liberal, then as someone who happens to be a UU. There seems to be a difference.

I wonder if the next poll should be about who the most influential UU is in terms of Unitarian-Universalism: i.e., among living UUs, who do you think has had the most influence or is the most influential on Unitarian-Universalism. There are many ways people might conceptualize this, from institutional influence (William Sinkford) to theological influence (Forrest Church) to influence on general UU culture (Robert Fulghum), etc.
