the whole idea of confession is problematic. getting it off my chest does nothing for the problem. sin can hardly be defined, who gets to dictate the behavior that should follow? i think perusing a website filled with confessions might be a sin, depending on the motivation.

I agree, we should be helping others with the task that is simply “being human.” We can to this! We have a lot to say re: it! I think “the way” is somewhere between the sort of Evangelical exaggeration illustrated above and the total avoidance of the issues by religious liberals. As always … it is about balance.

As an aside, I would much rather be given access to a one on one, real-time confession (ala Catholics) then the online version you showcase above. Eh …
