I have always thought depression would feel like -you get up in the morning and the day has a dark cloud over it and the next day the cloud would be gone and it would be a sunny day. I never put it in perspective that it brings struggles and hurts in so many areas of life. It sounds like knowing your limits is a real key. Your strength in sharing your feelings shows how strong your are in pushing toward your goal. You are right that people don’t understand the disease. Sharing your dilemna is helpful to everyone. You have a gift of words and feelings so I am sure many have been helped from your openness.

I’ve been a bit overwhelmed by you all as they’ve come in, and kept coming in. Thank you.

Danielle, your reminder is duly noted. ;-)

Mr. Uneasily Green, actually, it’s just that you’re not really ITP. On-the-Perimeter doesn’t count anymore, remember?

I always think of it as, instead of a bucket full of emotional energy for the day, I have a thimble full. What am I going to spend it on today? Doing the laundry? Shopping for groceries? Talking to people? Going to work? You have to choose survival sometimes.

But really, you should just admit that just not that into us. :P

So sorry to hear this is the way things are for you now. At the same time, I’ll reiterate what others have said: You describe it so gosh darn well.

It really hurts to dwell on people we’ve lost touch with and to carry that knowledge, “Oh god; it’s my fault.” Can I ever identify. One thing, though: there’s a group of us that I *know* cares very much about you. Not Happy you or Insightful you. You’re one of our favorite folks. Thanks for reaching out, even in this way. It means a lot. Talk to you soon.

Thanks for making this connection. I hope you feel the light returning soon.

When I wrote the “drowning in a pool” post, you said you felt like that too; and sometimes, I just want people to understand, rather than offer me advice or an explanation. Sometimes I just want to be left alone. And sometimes, I worry that I too will piss people off by what I am doing; even though I can’t seem to control it. I want to make it on time, and I want to pay attention, but I can’t. It’s too hard. And it sucks. This haze over my life is too thick, and I do what I can to make myself feel better; in my case, that happens to be going out with friends. But I worry the whole time I am there, I worry about how people feel, and I worry if I am being what I need to be to make people happy. I worry if I am being annoying, and then end up getting annoying when I show that worry. It is enough to drive someone insane. But, it’s just me. One of the only things that is good about all of this, is knowing I am not the only one… that totally gives me hope. Thanks for being part of that hope. =o)

You have conveyed the sentiment that I tried to get across in my own blog post today. You have also done a much better job than me. *applause*
