You can argue the whole concept of the matrix with anybody or anything contained in it until you’re blue in the face, the simple yet infinitely complex truth is that: intuition=choice<>machine=no choice and ‘The One’ is simply the inevitable liaison between the two. What ‘The One’ does is, in effect, irrelevant. He is simply the reset button. What does matter from a human point of view is why he did it. YES, this time it was love.. what about next time? A ‘truer’ form of love? Laughable.

There are two schools of thought on that. Either the Architect is telling Neo that he is wrong, or he is reproving him for using such a “humany” word (Oracle) to describe that ‘intuitive’ program.

Personally, I’m for the latter.

Remember the kissing scene? That’s the way of Persephone to “download” into the matrix the information (which the matrix so wants to learn in order to create a better ‘one’). That’s why she asked Neo to kiss her like he kisses dear Trin :)

This is the exact response of the Architect when Neo assumes that the Oracle is the “Mother of the Matrix”

He’s wrong… The Oracle is *not* the person the Architect is referring to.

It’s more likely Persephone, because of the other clues that the Architect gives about the character and the info that is available about Persephone…
