The only thing the rest of the country has been asked to do is shop and “support our troops,” whatever that means.
Re #3, the Bush administration is appealing to the notion of progress in its talk of freeing the Iraqi people and bringing them democracy.
Re #4, while Bush seems to believe God chose him to be President, his administration is nonetheless conflicted about its ideology of limited government vs. its ideology of legistlating morality. If anything, it believes the Market, not the State, is God.
Re #10, the Bush administration uses subterfuge to advance its Orwellian panopticism. It does not brag about it, and so far its use of terror has been limited.

However, your list of 10 points almost convinces me otherwise. Neocons in the U.S. seek exactly these 10 points. Fortunately, it’s contrary to the American culture to go that far, and if the neocons continue to pursue this ideology, the U.S. voters will turf them out next election, blissfully and naively aware of how close they came to throwing away the democracy their forefathers fought so hard to achieve.
